How Can Your Major Make the World a Better

 

Hello, today in this post I will talk about how the speciality I study can contribute to the world.

I study anthropology, but I would like to specialise in forensic anthropology. This speciality can help provide answers to people about bodies that are found without a context. It contributes to the resolution of death cases within a legal framework. It identifies human remains before and after death, and can help provide answers to the relatives of the deceased. 

I don't think it's an easy career, because we are talking about people who at some point were alive but their identity and cause of death is unknown. It involves a lot of emotional burden, which has to be overcome as a professional in order to be able to provide an answer. That is my main motivation, to help in some way to have an "answer to death".
